The beginnings 50's / 60's - Trinity Radio

Radio South Tyneside is one of the oldest radio station's in the UK having been set up by a group of radio hams in the early 1950's.  John Tyzack and friends set up Trinity House Radio in Laygate, whilst also spending many hours down by the coast at Marsden. At this time we started providing football commentary of South Shields matches to patients in hospital.
